Wear Around

2022

Materials -

For this work I used Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Rhino software.

Description -

For this project we had to design a watch that was fashion forward yet useful. My design included a metal clasp band with interchangeable watch faces. I wanted to create something that leaned toward more of a jewelry piece that could be worn with anything. The process leading up to the digital work was a big part of this project. I started with 50 thumbnail drawings, then narrowed it down to 25 where I made them more detailed and drew 3 different perspectives. After that I proceeded to make a poster advertising this watch and created a 3D rendering of it with all watch face options. I found this project very interesting since product design is something I would like to learn more about.

Learning Objectives -

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Illustrator

Couch Design

2022

Materials -

50 thumbnail sketches and then Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for final.

Description -

For this project we had to design a couch and do all of the work in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Although I had worked with these before I had never fully rendered product designs like this. As you can imagine that did take a while, however the steps before moving onto my laptop took much more time. I spent a week coming up with 50 different couch designs and making thumbnails. Then, from those I chose 15 to sketch again but in 3 different perspectives until I chose my favorite to put into Adobe.

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Product Sketching
